In April, a Pampered Chef evening was held in aid of community centre funds and a dozen people enjoyed a very tasty, entertaining evening sampling dishes prepared by Amanda Kitson. £100 was raised.
Church was open once again during the annual Pork Pie Competition at the Bridge Inn. The WI held a very successful cake stall and church sold fabric and refreshments. Neville’s bell tower tours were as popular as ever and a good number of people took the opportunity to come into the church to look around. Over £100 was raised for church funds which was a welcome bonus but the main thing about the afternoon was that St Bart’s had the opportunity to welcome both members of the community and visitors while they awaited the results of the competition.
