On 8 September, we were once again blessed with good weather for Rushbearing Sunday.  The jury is out on whether or not there were quite as many people milling round the church in the afternoon as usual but we had another successful afternoon’s fund-raising, with nearly £1100 being raised for general funds.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The new chairs and tables for the community centre, courtesy of another successful grant application, have finally arrived and are much admired.

 

The results of the 100 club draw in September were : 1st prize Sarah Cox (44), 2nd Wilf Jones (11) and 3rd J Moffat (81)
